Ai Opinion

AI Rating(2.5/5)

Users appreciate iZotope's high-quality plugins like Ozone, Neutron, and Nectar, valuing their effectiveness in mixing and mastering with good starting points from AI features. However, many users criticize the company for poor customer support, slow or no response times, issues with product downloads, and software stability problems. Some note high CPU usage and do not like the removal of standalone applications, as well as recent issues after the merger with Native Instruments.

Expert Opinion

Expert Rating(4.8/5)

I recently put Ozone 12 through its paces on several tracks, from indie rock to electronic, and it truly shines as a mastering powerhouse with smart AI help. The new Master Assistant now lets you customize flows, pick modules, and set LUFS targets, giving starting points that feel musical instead of generic. I loved how Stem EQ fixed vocals and bass right in the stereo file without remixing. New tools like Bass Control locked in my low end perfectly, while Unlimiter revived squashed dynamics on overworked mixes. The IRC 5 Maximizer pushed loudness cleanly with no distortion or pumping, ideal for club-ready tracks. It works great in DAWs like Ableton and Logic, though CPU-heavy on older machines. Setup was quick with the 10-day trial, and pros like Chris Gehringer swear by it for pro results. My only gripe is the steep upgrade price for Advanced and occasional artifacts in busy stems. Overall, Ozone 12 speeds up workflows while keeping you in control, a must for any serious producer.
