Will Griffith has left Oracle to become the new Managing Director of Marketo, ANZ.

Griffith joins the marketing automation company from Oracle Marketing Cloud, where he was most recently Head of Sales and Go-to-Market Strategy for APAC.

He takes over from Bill Binch, who was appointed ANZ managing director in September 2016 and departed the company in October 2017.

“I am thrilled to join the Marketo ANZ team and help CMOs drive revenue and growth in the Engagement Economy. Marketo has long been known for its championing of the marketing profession and customer-focused engagement solutions. I’m excited to be a part of the next phase of the Marketo journey,” Griffith said.

Based in Sydney, he is responsible for Marketo’s overall business operations across Australia and New Zealand and will report to Marketo Chief Sales Officer Eric Johnson.

“I am confident that Marketo’s business in Australia and New Zealand will truly thrive with Will at the helm. His experience leading successful enterprise teams, knowledge of the local landscape and understanding of the challenges facing today’s chief marketing officers make him an ideal addition to our team,” said Johnson.

Griffith joined Oracle through its acquisition of Eloqua, where he served as the company’s Regional Director ANZ, establishing its first presence in APAC. He has more than 20 years’ experience leading teams within enterprise technology and for more than a decade has worked alongside some of the United Kingdom and Australia’s marketing leaders.
