The end of the year is fast approaching which means it’s time to take a look back on the year that was and publish a list or two*.

In the coming weeks we will be sharing some of our favourite stories of the year but first Which-50 wants to know which companies and individuals stood out to you in 2018, and why.

We’ve put together a very short (anonymous) survey to find out who had a cracking year and who had an absolute shocker. Which technologies were over-hyped and which ones deserve more attention?

So grab a coffee and cast your mind back to a time when ‘Cambridge Analytica’ made you imagine of a group of sweater-wearing data scientists holed up in a British University department, rather than start wondering which of your Facebook friends was filling out all those quizzes?

We will share the findings from the survey on Wednesday 19, December — just in time to give you some talking points to sound clever at the company Christmas lunch. And if you would like to provide any general feedback or thoughts outside the very un-official survey please feel free to email me with suggestions or tips at [email protected].

* Don’t worry, we’ll spare you from a another list of predictions for 2019!
