Ampion has launched into the market, the merger of two industry-leading providers: Shelde and Revolution IT.

The two businesses are already well known for their respective engineering expertise in quality assurance (Revolution IT), cybersecurity and digital engineering (Shelde).

Now combined as Ampion, the integrated business addresses a critical gap in the market for an experienced, mid-tier, onshore provider of digitisation strategies and implementation support for both large and small businesses.

The parties say Ampion has been created to offer Australian businesses the breadth of capabilities of a large global systems integrator sharpened by the depth of skill of a specialist boutique provider.

Ampion’s CEO, Jamie Duffield, said, “Ampion is engineering-focused. Our Australia-wide team delivers specialisation at scale with three integrated service streams across software assurance, technology security and digital transformation.”

According to Duffield, organisations need to deliver on their digitisation strategies at an ever-faster pace in order to stay competitive, but speed requires expert insight and extensive practical experience to deliver safe execution.

“The key to remaining competitive, relevant and successful is through reducing complexity and delivering quality customer experiences, in a secure and timely manner. ”

“We have the local scale and expertise to deliver large programs of work and are a safe and trusted alternative to the multi-national system integrators. Australia Post recognised this and recently appointed us as its testing services partner, a four-year commitment to continue its impressive digital operation transformation.”

Head of Enterprise Solutions Group at Ampion, and former CEO of Shelde, Bruce Williams, said, “The need for innovation is imperative in this new climate. The specialist needs of our clients are continually increasing. We offer them a trusted partner with the insight and practical knowledge needed to deliver organisational transformation with confidence.”

Ampion brings to the client’s table a collective experience of more than 26 years of working with some of Australia’s leading organisations, and the power of more than 600 consultants across Australia. Ampion retains long-standing clients of both companies.
