Qualtrics today announced it is promoting Brigid Archibald to managing director for its APJ region, replacing Bill McMurray who is moving to the US to become chief revenue officer.
McMurray had led the experience management software provider in the region since it launched in APJ in 2015, rapidly growing to eight offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Japan, South Korea, India, Hong Kong, and Southeast Asia.
Effective immediately, Archibald will now be responsible for continuing that growth and supporting local customers, which include Samsung, Sony, Uber, Qantas, and Volkswagen Group Australia.
Today, Archibald said the current pandemic is accelerating consumer expectations and brands were turning to data to build relationships with consumers and employees.
“While restrictions will lift in the future, the impact of these on behaviours and attitudes will be long-lasting,” Archibald said.
“Experience management is now a critical discipline for all organisations and governments, and I am excited to be at the forefront with Qualtrics.”
Qualtrics global CEO and co-founder Ryan Smith said he looked forward to Archibald leading the region.

Her contributions have helped the region consistently exceed expectations and cement Qualtrics’ position as the leader in experience management. Smith also thanked outgoing APJ MD Bill McMurray.
“Bill McMurray has done an amazing job building the Qualtrics business in APJ, and we’re excited he’s accepted this new role as Chief Revenue Officer. Over the last five years Bill has pioneered the XM [customer experience management] category in APJ and his influence will be felt long into the future,” said Smith.
Qualtrics also announced the promotion of Stephanie Labudde to Global Head of Tech Sales, Solution Strategy, and Enablement. Labudde will help set the strategic vision for Qualtrics.
Qualtrics is owned by German software giant SAP which acquired the company for $8 billion in late 2018.
