Australia’s mandatory data breach notification scheme, since its inception in July 2018, has seen many organisations take accountability for their privacy management.

To celebrate Privacy Awareness Week (3rd to the 9th of May) this year, privacy experts from technology consulting firm Protiviti and law firm Baker McKenzie are coming together in a three part podcast series, hosted by Boardroom.Media.

In part two of the series we hear from Marc Coleman, Manager of Technology Consulting at Protiviti and Anne Petterd, Partner at Baker McKenzie. Continuing on from the first episode which looked at privacy risks and how to safeguard against these, in this episode they discuss data breaches in the context of lessons from the mandatory data breach notification scheme.
