Ai Opinion

AI Rating(4.2/5)

Users praise Backblaze for its unlimited storage, affordable pricing, fast performance, easy setup, and reliable recovery options like USB drives. However, some dislike the one-computer-per-license limit, lack of mobile and network drive support, basic interface, and occasional customer service issues.

Expert Opinion

Expert Rating(4.5/5)

I have been using Backblaze for a while now and overall I am genuinely impressed. The setup is quick, the desktop client is simple, and the whole experience really feels like a true set it and forget it backup. Unlimited storage for a flat price is a huge relief when dealing with large photo or video libraries. What stood out for me is how Backblaze quietly runs in the background without hogging CPU or bandwidth, yet still keeps everything continuously backed up. The restore process is straightforward and I really like the option for a shipped USB drive when dealing with large recoveries. On the flip side, I did notice that the interface feels a bit dated in some places and the 30 day default version history can be limiting if you discover issues late. There is also no true multi-device cloud drive style syncing, since it is focused on backup, not general cloud storage. Overall, I see Backblaze as a rock solid choice if you want reliable, affordable unlimited backup with minimal fuss and are okay with its backup first philosophy instead of a full-featured sync and share platform.
