These are just three of the more fascinating stats contained in an infographic which was sent to Which-50 today, and which was produced by WebDam Solutions, a US based digital asset management company.
Among the other gems, more than half marketers worldwide increased their digital marketing budgets this year, and by 2015 internet advertising will make up nearly 25 per cent of the entire ad market.
The infographic draws on a variety of sources including research by Gartner, Adobe, eMarketer and the Content Marketing Institute.
